How long will it take for my snug piercing to heal?

I want to get a snug piercing (cartilage), but may have to work in a more formal environment this summer (end of May). I thought that if the snug heals by then, i can put an "invisible" plastic (Bioflex) earring in place of the stainless steel. To give you an idea of how I heal: My upper helix piercing (also cartilage) healed in MAYBE three months. I cleaned it occasionally, didn't sleep on it (that one's the biggie), and NEVER had problem with it. As far as I'm concerned, it healed in three days because I never had an issue and I could pull on it without pain or other problem. However, my lobe piercing on the side that I sleep I had to have done a second time, because it didn't take right the first time. Help with suddenly picky eater?!?

My daughter is 13 months old and until a couple weeks ago the best little eater I could have asked for. She would eat anything put in front of her and plenty of it. She completely transitioned off the bottle to a sippy cup around 8 months and we started making the transition to plates and utensils. We havent been pressuring her, just putting her food on a plastic plate instead of directly on her tray and providing utensils for her use. Things seemed to be going really well, she was having fun and we were enjoying the messy experience of watching her learn. The last couple weeks however she suddenly started refusing foods. She had never turned her nose up at anything before and now she refuses to even try things. She will only eat her few favorite foods; eggs, toast, cheese, milk, juice. Along with this came a few other rotten new behaviors such as crouching down on the ground and screaming till someone will pick her up, refusing her sippy cup and demanding to drink out of our gles, wanting to walk around with food instead of sitting in her high chair, and intentionally getting into things she knows she isnt supposed to be and making sure we know about it. Any advice?

I'm torn between the time I made an amazing flying tackle in the open field to save a touchdown and the time I made this incredible 30 foot putt for birdie across the face of an extremely steep green. The flying tackle was in junior high, and it's wasn't just awesome, it was pretty much the only thing I ever did on a football field. The putt was against my father and brothers (they fell on the ground in shock when I made it), and it was on well known course in Fort Worth. Plus, I've only ever had maybe three birdies ever. Yes, there are many ways to make rank before even heading to basic. My husband went in as e3. By doing some 'recruiting' and getting others to say that you asked them to join (and they DO join while you are in DEP) you will make rank. Also, there are education benefits (college or technical school). You already know about jrotc. Also, while in boot camp (at least Navy) you can pick up a rank by being a squad leader. I can't seem to find the site, but there is information on about.military.com. Also, talk to your recruiter. They will know the in's and out's.

2006 Ninja 250 Engine cutting out?

When i start up my bike, it runs good around 3k rpm's and higher, but then when i let off the throttle, and head towards idle, the engine begins to putt and die out, eventually it just cuts out completely, starts right bike up fine, but then it does the same thing again. How do you give gripe water to your baby?

Mine is 2 months old, and we can put a dose in his bottle when he drinks that feeding, but all the other time i am feeding and when I try to squirt the gripe water into his mouth with the syringe provided, he just spits it all out because it is quite a large amount (2 doses of 2.5ml). Is my dog in labor right now?

Due to my calculations my dog should give birth around the 9th but for the past few days she has had this clear mucus discharge, her temperature has stayed around 99.7 until last night it dropped down to 98.5 but then today it rose back up to 99.6. She has been shivering all day and real restless. I thought the shivering is from the cold but not for sure. She is laying in her nest now and appears to be sleeping and snoring but with every snore I can see her rear end and quivering or kind of like it is contracting. Her is kind of pouched out there tonight but nothing is sticking out like a sac or anything. She seems real pitiful. I was dusting today and everytime I went to get down to dust the tables she would come and sit in front of me, like she was purposely trying to get in my way and get my attention. First I must state the obvious: if you don't really like a person, don't go out for them, especially if you have such strong feelings for someone else! I learned this the hard way, as many do. From my freshman to junior year in hs I was in love with this guy who loved me back, but we were both too chicken to make the first move. We ended up having relationships with other people and then breaking up with them for each other. It caused lots of drama and pain and ultimately got nowhere. So if you really want to be with her then tell her exactly how you feel before it's too late. There's gonna be drama no matter what you do, but you're just going to have to decide what's most important to you and weigh the pros and cons appropriately. Good luck! <3

I took part in Malay drama Bunga Raya Untuk Su Tin and was cheated by agent that I knew for sometime. Shooting took place in KL, August 2008 and was in air on 21st August 2009 on Merdeka Day 3pm on TV2. I knew the agent quite well as I used to do shoot with them before and always paid on time and thats why I didnt ask for agreement as I trusted them before but last time just kept on saying that she spent my money that production house paid to them for my shoot. Did you cry during labor?

I had my baby girl 3 weeks ago and now that I'm thinking back on the birth I wonder if I was wimping out a little. I was in active labor for 14 hours. Once I hit 6cm or so the pain was so intense that I didn't know if I could handle it. I started to cry some right before the contractions because I was dreading them so much. They were only like 30 seconds to 1 minute apart and I would have 2 right on top of each other. I didn't have an epidural and she ended up being 9lbs. 10.8oz and 21in. long. During Transition I cried a lot too since I had to labor down for a while and every contraction made me push and almost throw up. Once I started pushing it only took 35 minutes and I didn't cry anymore. Not even after she was born. So my question is did any of you cry during labor? Do you think I was being a little wimpy?

Receiving money from a will.. is it taxed?

My grandfather ped away in 2005. He left a little over 10 grand for each of his grand children to receive after they turn 25 years old. The money was left for my uncle to oversee. It was put in and eventually (2009) cashed out of stocks. My uncle mentioned taxes paid on the money. It is over 13 grand now. Help. My bright little 3yr old is being held back as shes very intellegant?

I'm having a few problems with the new nursery my little 3yr goes to. Im a single mom and i've just moved to a new area as i got a promotion. Shes a very good little girl, perfect really. Shes used of alot of attention as shes stunningly good looking and has been lucky enough to do a few child modelling ignments. Shes also really bright and intellegant and is way ahead of other 3yr olds in her new school with reading and understanding. Which i'm very proud of as I insisted on very little t.v or computers unless the activity as developmental qualitys. I had her when i was 20 but i made sure i still got ahead with my education and securing a really good career. I would tell her shes a beautiful child inside and out and shes turned out very confident. It was important for me to instill this in her. She is used of attending a nursery in a very upmarket area and has lots of little friends who do ballet and singing and other little princess activities. However in the new area parents dont encourage their children in these activities and i feel my little girl is being held back. Shes also started fighting with her new friends which shes never done before. I'm getting complaints about her behaviour but i feel its these children that are the bad influence as to be perfectly frank, i feel they dont have much guildance from the type of parents i've seen. To move her from this nursery to a more creative one will be much more trouble but do you think i should?

My mom and my little brother and sister have been estranged for 15 years. She has lived in absolute, unbearable pain about this. Some people from church decided to go check on her because she hadn't been to church lately, and that is very unlike her. When they showed up she started crying about my brother and sister and suddenly had a stroke. It's too deep to operate on and if it happens again, there's nothing anyone can do to stop it. Can Fortekor cause blindness in cats?

My sister went to to the vets about a fortnight ago for the family cat's heart murmor, he was prescribed Fortekor and she started giving it to him after which he started acting funnily, eating his (clean) litter, being more distant than usual, and wanting to go outside more...especially if it was raining. This culminated in him becoming quite disorientated, we then worked out is that at best he could make out basic shapes visually now, poor guy was even scratching at the side of a door to be let out...it was already open. Obviously the medication was stopped. She was concerned when looking at the bottle that it was 2.5Mg and that was what our dog was on when he had a heart murmor, & he was easily twice weight of the cat-so was this too much for the cat? His eyes are clear if a little blank, he doesn't respond to moving stimuli ie. moving finger etc. His eyeight was totally fine before the medication and now almost totally blind understandably this is quite distressing. Cardio before weight training?

I would say take some Tylenol and maybe take a warm bath and see if that helps to ease the discomfort. I would also recommend drinking lots of water because when I don't drink enough I tend to get cramps. How do I file for custody of my son in Illinois?

First of all, please pardon the long nature of the question, but I wanted to make sure to include as many details of my situation as pable. My son's mother and I recently split up. We have a 15 moth old son together and up until about 2 months ago I was a live in dad/boyfriend and provided 100% financially for our family's needs. On Friday I got some rather disturbing information regarding a member of my ex's family that my son is exposed to. My son's mother has neglected to mention that her mother's husband is a convicted murderer of a 14 month old baby girl (roughly the same age as my son) and offender. She has put our son in this man's care and endangered him by doing so many many times. I just found this information out Friday about his past and when I confronted her about it she admitted to knowing about and keeping it from me during our relationship but she has bought into his "it wasn't me" story. Her whole family thinks there is nothing wrong with my son being around this baby killer and rapist. I called the police on Friday after speaking with my ex and her reluctance to agree to no contact between my son and her mothers husband, The police said that they can't do anything as long as the interactions are in a "family setting" and he is not providing direct day care/babysitting, however even the police said that this is a "grey area" as if my son's mother drops our son off at her mother's house to babysit, the husband will be there of course because he lives there. Since I wasn't able to get anywhere with the police I decided to call DCFS because I was told that they might be able to ensure this man is never again in the presence of my son. Today an investigator from DCFS called me to let me know he was going to make a visit to my ex's home and discuss the need for my son to be around this creep, but he even made it sound like there is nothing he could do if the guy served his time, ect. Now keep in mind, he is a registered offender in both Illinois (where we live) and in Oregon, where the crimes were committed. On his Oregon offender page it states that he is to not be around anyone under 18 years of age, presumably because of the age of his murder victim. Since it seems like I might have hit another dead wall with DCFS I have printed out and filled out all the doents necessary to file an order of protection and will be filing tomorrow morning hopefully to ensure this man can't be anywhere near my son, but I was told that it may be a "long shot" as most order of protections are for other reasons, maybe this was just a dumb clerk that I spoke with but I'm already planning my next moves if it fails. In either case, weather I get an order of protraction established for my son and this man or not, I am seriously thinking that my son's mother's judgment is too severely compromised to be the main caregiver for him based on her willingness to put him in a position that he has been exposed to such a person. Right now I am getting him every weekend, we have nothing in writing and no court orders for custody, also I am providing voluntary support, again, nothing in writing, just voluntarily. The first things you guys are probably going to say is "go get a lawyer"...well I have been on the phone NONSTOP since Friday when I got this information and I simply am not in a position to be able to afford one. I just don't have the money. I have asked my family but they have not been able to help with money either, so I'm on my own for now it seems. Can I ask for custody tomorrow morning when I file the OP? Based on her negligence and immediate danger to our son? I have asked the court what forms I would need to obtain to file for custody but they basically told me I need to have my lawyer draft the paperwork or basically "learn the law" and do it myself by going to a law library?!? Again, I am in Illinois, if that matters, and any suggestions would be greatly appreciated, I have been terrified all weekend and this week.

I'd be walking her too. You know the area isn't safe. And it helps you both if you walk her. What if she's scared to walk those 3 blocks, but doesn't want to tell you? What if something did happen? Its better for her to get a bit of teasing than to be hurt or killed by a gang within blocks of her house and school. It also gives her a way to play you as the bad guy without making her look like a baby. My Mom always told us we could use her as a scapegoat if it helped us to keep from bending to peer pressure. How you make a pot of homemade stew?????

I would brown the meat first in a bit of good olive oil, then brown the vegetables in the same pot. Use hot water to deglaze the pan and then add your stock cubes and set aside to simmer on low for a few hours. I'm 16 years old and 33 weeks pregnant with a baby boy. I come from a upper middle cl family and money isn't an issue. He has not bought one thing for the baby, he spends all his money on the girlfriend, scarcely returns calls, and is basically a deadbeat without the child even being present. Is there any way I can legally really hold him responsible for the child and support with parenting? Or is it better to just let it be and do it alone(with family support)?

My husband deployed last July with the 5/2 Stryker Brigade from Fort Lewis, and his tour in Afghanistan is wrapping up. Am I allergic to my lip piercing?

I have had my lip pierced for about 4-5 months now. My healing process was really bad with swelling and what not. One of my best friends has been having relationship issues. I was listening to the radio the other day and heard this one song in particular that's somewhat similar to the "ELECTRIC SLIDE", but it's definaltely NOT the ELECTRIC SLIDE or the "CUPID SHUFFLE" or the "CHA-CHA SLIDE". All I know is some female be saying "and i will teach you, teach you, teach you...i'll teach you the ? ? slide" (i put 2 question marks because i'm not sure of the two words she's saying. As far as how the actual dance move goes, she says "two steps to the left, two steps to the right, two steps to the back and rock all night"....that's what i be hearing her say in the song itself, so i'm hoping that given this informatio as little as it may be that someone out there may know what song i'm talking about and will be able to give me not only the name of the song, but who sings it; if not BOTH of those things, then at least one or the other meaning the name of the song OR the name of the person/group who sings it. my freind left the country on vacation for a month and a half and he is a trucker. he left me the truck keys and asked me to let it run for 30 minutes every week. he said i have to close the door and turn the ignition one click, the the gauges will move to half way up, pause move to the end of the gauge, pause drop back downall the way and then move back to half before falling down again. after that sequence he said i can the turn the key the rest of the way and start the truck. i tried and the the truck just kept turning over but wouldn't start. :(

(this depends on the type of vehicle) How This happens is the PCM "Listens for Detonation from the knock sensor and (retards the ignition timing=less power,less fuel economy) when the octane rating is increased the PCM will keep (advancing the ignition timing=more power,more fuel economy) It's that simple!

I do not have the details of how it happened, but he bit one tech on the hand, sending him to the emergency room. The vet sent in reinforcements, and he bit a second tech, sending him to the emergency room as well. Both bites were minor, no stitches required. Why am I liable for their emergency room bills (and possible lawsuit) when it was an on the job incident, and they *should* be professional animal handlers? I understand and agree with the 10-day rabies quarantine and empathize with their bites, but if they were mechanics working on my car and pinched their finger while changing my tire - would I be responsible?

I was just wondering all children seem to have their misbehaving niche in life some children bite, others kick, and others hit. What are some of the daily behaviors that your toddler has that you just can't seem to get through to them that it's not right and allowed? How do you " read" an MRI on turf toe, what do you look for?
