Do modern players get overhyped?

I think the advent of Fantasy Football has overhyped certain players, and certain styles of playing. For instance, a QB in a team with no running game to speak of will be considered better than a QB who relies heavily on his teams good running game and playaction ping, because the first will get many 300 yard games, even when his team is losing, while the other will win many games with 200 yards. Because of the basic format of Fantasy Football, Running Backs in general are glorifed, even mediocre ones, because each fantasy team has 2 starters, and at least one reserve guy. That I know who Mason Crosby is says a lot about how overhyped players are because of Fantasy Football.
